About Amin
Over a period of more than twenty years I have taught Russian and Persian. Senior government officials and members of the security services attended my Russian classes. In Russia and Vietnam I taught university students English.
My story
I am a professional language teacher, translator and interpreter. I have extensive experience as a teacher of Russian, Persian, and English.
I grew up in Iran. In 1993, in Russia, I graduated with a Masters of Law from Kuban State University. I also obtained a certificate from the University for teaching Russian as a second language. I have lived and worked in an English-speaking environment for the past twenty five years. In 2017 I was awarded Cambridge University’s Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA).
My experience
Over a period of more than twenty years I have taught Russian and Persian. Senior government officials and members of the law enforcement agencies attended my Russian classes. In Russia and Vietnam I taught university students English.
I have also tailored online classes in Russian, Persian, and English for private students. Some of my students have been keen to meet the mental challenge of learning a foreign language; some have wished to take their knowledge to a higher level; some have needed to communicate effectively in their areas of expertise; and some have needed to know the language of commerce. For some, learning has been simply a fun pastime, an enjoyable hobby.
It’s never too late to learn
My own experience has shown me the benefits of learning a foreign language. Researchers have noted improvement in problem solving skills, in creativity, in the ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time, in memory, and in social skills. Writing and speaking skills in the mother tongue are also improved. Undoubtedly self-confidence is boosted.
A foreign language unlocks a new world (its geography, its history, its culture). New information is accessible, and new friendships are formed. Life becomes more interesting.
It is never too late to learn a foreign language.
